Meet the Founder: Regina Simons

Filmmaker, Academic Scholar, and Media Operations Executive

Regina Simons is a filmmaker, academic scholar, and media operations executive who specializes in Indigenous narrative sovereignty and ethical production design. She holds a postgraduate degree in media production, and her work combines the creative demands of cinematic storytelling with the structural precision of enterprise logistics.

As a filmmaker, Regina examines representation, cultural reclamation, and historical accountability in her narrative and documentary work. Outside of filmmaking, she is in demand as a speaker, educator, and consultant for institutions, giving carefully selected masterclasses and media literacy programs to universities, media labs, and tribal organizations across the country.

At Dezbah Productions she uses her knowledge gained across different industries to create production environments that are both equitable and highly efficient and which respect both the craft and the community.
