What does “Dezbah” mean?

Dezbah is a Diné (Navajo) name which means "warrior woman" and symbolizes the fierce dedication, grit, and beauty needed to recover Native narratives and break down the institutional barriers in the media world.

What kinds of stories and projects do you carry out?

We provide cinematic media which is based on deep, firsthand experience—raw, poetic, and fully authentic. In addition to our work in independent narrative and documentary filmmaking, we apply our methods to the production of powerful public service announcements (PSAs), educational material, and corporate communication strategies. Whenever a project is grounded in narrative truth and cultural integrity, we carry it out.
