FAQs
Q: What does “Dezbah” mean?
A: Dezbah is a Diné (Navajo) name meaning “warrior woman.” Fitting for a production company reclaiming Native narratives with heart, grit, and beauty.
Q: What kind of stories do you tell?
A: We tell stories that reflect lived experience. Raw, poetic, and unapologetically Native. Whether it’s documentary, narrative, or something experimental, if it’s rooted in truth, we’re in.
Q: How did it all start?
A: With a kid on a made-for-TV movie set, a gifted camera, and a desire to flip the script on how Native people are seen and heard.
Q: Can I hire you for my project?
A: Yes! If it aligns with our values: collaborative, intentional, and culturally respectful. We love projects with purpose.
Q: Favorite filming snack?
A: Coffee, bagels, and French fries (not all at once…usually).
